over the past 10 years and west lothian council restricting the number of the taxis plates in west lothian which open a black market in west lothian the market start when too many ex private hire has pass they knowledge taxis test in west lothian and start looking for a taxis plate and as there a waiting list up to 15 years for taxi plates the old taxi drivers in west lothian how have more than 5-10 plates start renting them out and the auction start  a few years back you may be able to rent a taxi plate for £50 a week  1 YEAR LATER they start force the drivers who want a taxi plate to buy the old taxi first and then rent the plate and that is the start the old taxi may worth £1000 they ask for £4000-£5000  take it or leave it and now they don't rent the plates any longer want the plate rent the whole taxis for £200 - £250 a week take it or leave it

all of these information and voice of more taxi drivers in west lothian who are member with C.D.A has attend a several meting with west lothian council which it is been clear that all of these information it is not new for west lothian council and they new about it and sure happy with as there is no any reaction has been made in  last year 2 years and even this year they start promising they will open the taxis plate up may be next year

the most strange part abut taxi plate in west lothian which is no understandable why west lothian council have a band for fair trade  policy for talk away , bars ,resturant, ect.. which enable 5 takeaway to open  beside and in front of each others, and they calle it fair trade so why there is no fair trade policy for people who want to make a living but they are no a millionaire same as pubs or resturant owner ????????? simple because west lothian council don't need them and don't even care about them,   life is not fair and who make it not fair ,

council of the year for 2006   west lothian council
