just have a look at the taxi rank when the school are out or at the weekend where the police surrounding the taxi rank in bathgate as a direct result for long waiting time at the taxi ranks and have a closer looks around the taxi rank you will finds 100s try to stop any cars not a taxi or even a private hire ,there is far too many licences private hire cars ( private hire cars are same as taxi but they are not allowed to pick up of the street they should receive they hire over the phone from the operator ) operated as a taxi over the weekend even when it is not
allowed it is far much safer than private cars who's operating as a taxi over the weekend and neither the driver or the car are insured or even the driver known to the licence team as it should be
